The Skywalker Saga movies are the nine numbered Star Wars films, Episode I to Episode IX. They follow the Skywalker family over three generations, from young Anakin in The Phantom Menace to his grandson Ben Solo in The Rise of Skywalker.
The films came out as three trilogies: the original trilogy (1977 to 1983), the prequels (1999 to 2005) and the sequels (2015 to 2019). This list starts in release order with A New Hope. Switch it to story order to start with The Phantom Menace.
The animated Clone Wars series covers the war between Episodes II and III. Andor and Rogue One show how the rebels got the Death Star plans before Episode IV.
Nine, Episodes I to IX. Rogue One, Solo and The Mandalorian and Grogu are Star Wars movies that sit outside the saga.
For a first watch, use release order: Episodes IV to VI, then I to III, then VII to IX. The big twist in The Empire Strikes Back stays a surprise. On a rewatch, try story order, Episode I to IX.
About 20 and a half hours for all nine. A New Hope is the shortest at 121 minutes, and The Last Jedi is the longest at 152 minutes.
